James started making cider at the tender age of 10 using apples from the family’s garden in West Sussex. Over the intervening years he honed his skills with a period spent working in the Champagne Region in France.
Gospel Green ‘Traditional Method’ cider was launched by James and his wife Cathy in 1990. James continues to advise Brock and keeps a tender eye on the business he and his wife lovingly ran for 26 years.
