Brock Bergius

Cider Maker

Brock hales from the Teachers whisky family and has had an interest in the drinks industry for many years. Following a period with Tucker Seabrook in Sydney, Brock embarked on a career in London.


Brock took over Gospel Green in 2016 and relocated the business to the Blackmoor Estate in Hampshire allowing direct access to some of the finest apples in the country.

James Lane

Founding Father

James started making cider at the tender age of 10 using apples from the family’s garden in West Sussex. Over the intervening years he honed his skills with a period spent working in the Champagne Region in France.


Gospel Green ‘Traditional Method’ cider was launched by James and his wife Cathy in 1990. James continues to advise Brock and keeps a tender eye on the business he and his wife lovingly ran for 26 years.
